The Plague of Night
The soft murmurs of the trees drift
along the rumbling of the hungry river.
The synchronized beat of the cicadas
Guides the leaves to the embracing ground.
The song of calmness dances softly.
But enjoyment is ephemeral.
The landscape fades into a shabby ambience.
An impending plague wraps tightly around all creatures.
No soul escapes its abysmal hugs
But they all hide beneath the warmth of ignorance
The liveliness of smiling dreams.
Their minds drunk with the gilded honey
Unaware of the harm that inflicts the Earth.
The traitors of nature feed the maladroit metal imps
Vicious pariahs of the underworld.
The amoral imps and demons chomp into the green souls
The roots of colossal empires crumble after years of reign.
There is no escape. No place to hide. No hugs to save them.
No wall can stop the creeping legs of the plague.
Every day, the plague of the night descends
And the massacre begins.

Wheel
Each new wheel turns
at the shouts of turdine colonels.
I hastily try to hold the wheel down,
But it inevitably spins.
immutable.
I have no control
except to follow it.
But I do not wish to.
Neither do others.
Why must the ruler of the universe
awaken and kick his crown
down the steps to poverty?
I do not wish such things.
I must cling like everyone else
to the wheel that turns with the sun
and rests with the moon,
hoping that one day
time will stop
and we can enjoy
the omnipotence
we share
in dreams.

Overlord
The condescending glare gulps placid lands.
Waves of dull claws swagger across the neonatal valley.
A rain of umbrage decimates the garden of souls.
The malignant tongue guzzles the amalgam of tears and sweat.
With destitute hands, cygnets implore.
But to no end, its reign slaps the Earth.
With peacock feathers stuck to its behind,
Barbarous hands smashed puerile glee.
Tyros armed with pages of stabs
Carp the disdain towards insightful sparks.
With flamboyance, despotic grins caged victory.
To this day, no words dare to sting its cupidity.
Ephemeral trails still remind
The malign towards our kind.

Battle
The verdant vines embrace the path,
A one-way street. Fear its wrath.
Alone I clash the unknown.
no walls to lean upon.
This is my rabid pet
that had broken its leash.
Patience does not waiver it.
Care does not blemish it.
It snarls with claws,
bites with umbrage,
and wags indignantly at your steps.
This is my spilled water
that splashes my pants
just to abash me.
The Battle
I
a l one
must
travel.

Future
An amalgam of zeal and affection swirls the trees,
as I, the sole confidant, embrace my duty.
The obligation of marking the omnipotence.
The dauntless power that placates umbrage.
The halcyon attitude that recounts all.
The symbol of peace and prosperity
that shall make the world
REMEMBER
A BUNNY! ( )( )

Death
The scorching sun roasted happiness
Barrels of melancholy fill the night
The putrid smell that was once honey-dewed
decimated the bricks I hold.
Why must I suffer the death of one so young
when it was nearly an utopia found
with his death, our beloved Snowball,
comes the ardent propensity towards his kind.
(Yeah, my bunny died) ;(

Bunny Friend
The resplendent fur sparkled in the light.
It gives me neither doubt nor fright.
The beatific ambience that exudes
overcomes the novel companion I receive
“Oh my!” I exclaim I got quite the accolade.
The fuzzy paws that touch gently
the melody of munching carrots
brings me delight through the day
Why, the bunny pied with black and white
is what the world shall embrace tonight.

Sorry
melancholy waves
soften the flow of broken tears.
pallid eyes bloat
no dam can impede nor hinder
the conscience’s slash.
Oh I feel the scorn
the censure of honey
that you all try to feed,
but I bestow a gift
the accolade that all show receive
as I ostentatiously shout to the world:
AN EARLY COMIC!
Except it’s just a scan from an old test.
please! not from me you wrest.

Obsession
I seek for you.
I wish for you.
I run. I gambol.
I tittup.
Nothing can stop
the urge.
Except heights.
that always
causes
trepidation.
